Secretly I enjoy the cloudy days of London. Not because I donít like sunny days, but because the cloudiness reminds me of my hometown, a nice medium-sized city in the middle of China, where a little bit of sunshine and a shade of blue in the sky is enough to make everyone want to quit their jobs and have tea at the riverside. But other than that, London is nothing like my hometown. London is much bigger, faster and louder, in fact, than most of the cities in the world, but with people not necessarily richer, freer or happier.
Journals of my London days witness the change of my feelings toward this city, from hanging as an outsider at the beginning to wanting to come back in the end. Now Iím planning to do my graduate study in London in the future.
